40. Pat Miletich 

Won the UFC welterweight tournament at UFC 16. Later that year, he won the UFC welterweight title and defended it four times. He went 7-0 in that run before losing the title to Carlos Newton.

39. Tyron Woodley 

Beat Carlos Condit, Kelvin Gastelum, Robbie Lawler, Stephen Thompson and Demian Maia amongst ranked welterweights. He also won and defended the UFC title three times.

38. Charles Oliveira 

Went on an 11 fight winning streak which included four ranked opponents, winning and defending the UFC lightweight title.

37. Henry Cejudo  

He went 6-2 at flyweight winning the title over Demetrious Johnson. He then won and defended the bantamweight title shortly after. In that span he got four title wins over Johnson, Marlon Moraes, TJ Dillashaw and Dominick Cruz.

36. Johny Hendricks

35. Andrei Arlovski

34. Robbie Lawler  

He beat Josh Koscheck to crack the top ten and Rory MacDonald to earn a title shot. He eventually beat Hendricks to win the UFC welterweight title and defended it twice over MacDonald and Condit.

33. Conor McGregor  

He went 8-0 in his featherweight run to win the UFC featherweight title. That run included ranked wins over Dustin Poirier, Chad Mendes and Jose Aldo. He beat Eddie Alvarez to become a two division champion but it all went downhill from there.

32. Frank Mir 

He went on a 6-1 run before his motorcycle accident that included winning the UFC heavyweight title giving Sylvia his first loss. He regained the number one spot by beating current UFC champion Brock Lesnar and winning the interim title over Antonio Nogueira.
