From 2017-2019 all of his UFC wins were against ranked opponents; John Dodson, Aljamain Sterling, Jimmie Rivera, Raphael Assunção and Jose Aldo. His first UFC run led him to a vacant UFC bantamweight title fight against Henry Cejudo.

48. Gray Maynard

46. Alex Pereira 

At middleweight, he beat Sean Strickland to crack to the top five and Israel Adesanya to win the UFC middleweight title. At light heavyweight, he won the vacant title and defended it three times, but may have lost to Magomed Ankalaev earlier if the UFC had given him the title shot sooner, in what was an already fabricated title run.

44. Renan Barao

42. Deiveson Figueiredo
